Blackbird is tested on Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari on Windows XP/Vista, Mac X and Linux. However there is always a system or browser out there that will have trouble. The browsers are the latest versions or most updated. Old browsers may have trouble with Blackbird, in particular with the JavaScript calls.

10-01-2008Well it appears that also seen in Vista are cases where, when the applet is on the web page, killing the browser (exiting it the way you normally would) causes a crash for which the browser hangs. However when navigating away from the page with the Blackbird applet, and then the browser is exited, this does not happen. This is a strange bug and so far only seen with IE on Vista.Investigating

09-05-2008The applet fails to load completely if the client machine is lacking a WibuKey Runtime installation. This means dead applet (a dead Bird, an ex Bird!) . Note that this is only a problem for those who even try to load WibuKey but not intend to use it so removing the addition of WibuKey encryption to the main applet vector will fix this for now. FIXED

08-12-2008Both IE and Firefox in Vista appear to be having an issue with closing the browser while a Blackbird window (child to the browser) is still open. This is not seen in XP. This problem is not making the applet unusable (though surely Microsoft will find a way to break Vista further).Investigating
