Blackbird Encryption Forum

Welcome to the forums. This is the place for communicating with other users of Blackbird and related projects, with developers, other cypherpunks, and a wide range of nefarious nabobs.

As you could expect, the forum rules are basic: no flaming, trolling, threats, racism, etc. However...

Although one of the driving forces of this project is free speech, the forums are still private property and the concept thereof is one of the pillars of liberty. Therefore you are expected to respect property rights as well as you should respect the other facets of liberty.

In addition to the basic expectations of respect, there is one more that might be particular to this forum: NO USELESS POSTING.

What is meant by that is simple: if someone posts a question, do not reply with things like "gee, I don't know" or "Sucks to be you". One of the most frustrating things about searching around for solutions to problems on the internet, regardless of the subject, is the number of useless posts that will turn up in a search engine result. You can "google" your problem all day, find descriptions in other forums describing the same problem you have, but all of the replies to that problem will be completely useless drivel by people who have too much time on their hands or worse, relish in the misfortune of others and see a need to boast about it.

Therefore the one particular rule to the forums is this: if you don't have anything useful to post, then don't post anything. This is not a super strict "soup nazi" concept. You don't have to be the problem solver to have a right to post, but you must contribute. So even if you don't have THE solution, you might still have something to contribute, perhaps a link to a website pertaining to the problem or subject at hand, or maybe something from another blog. (and please provide links so credit goes where credit is due).

At the same time however, there is no such thing as a stupid question if the answer for it is possible in these forums. "Where is my other sock?" would qualify as a stupid question however (one sock eats the other, by the way) so please respect the users of this forum and equally important, those who might surf into them looking for solutions to their problems.
